SMCHA Sends thanks:
Earlier this year WHOA! (Woodside Horse Owners Association) awarded SMCHA a generous capacity-building grant to dramatically improve our administrative operations. We especially recognize Elizabeth Ouellette for her hard work in applying for and securing this grant.
SMCHA used these funds to invest in DonorPerfect (DPO), a new, robust constituent relationship management (CRM) database system especially designed for non-profit organizations.
And yes, a new database system is exciting news and a cause to celebrate!
This new system will save countless hours of SMCHA Board members’ time, freeing them to focus energy on offering great SMCHA programs and events. DPO enables SMCHA to not only have a secure, centralized constituent database, but also integrate online forms to automate taking donations, event tickets/registrations, magazine ad purchases, and membership dues from a single system. One of our own members, Cherie Hammer, has been hard at work to customize it especially for SMCHA.
DPO’s online forms will replace our outdated PayPal payment system for donations, membership, and event tickets. They allow you to use any major credit card as well as pay by electronic check, offering a wider array of purchase options. And forms can be accessed from any device – desktop computers or mobile phones. You can even look for QR codes on printed flyers, so signing up for an event on the go is as easy as pointing your phone’s camera and clicking a button!
Some of you have already experienced the new registration forms for our recent events. Going forward, all SMCHA events, as well as donations, magazine advertisement purchases, and, most importantly, our membership renewals will migrate to using these new forms.
On behalf of the SMCHA Board, I want to extend a huge thank you to WHOA! and Elizabeth. Because of their foresight and support, SMCHA is making a huge leap in operational efficiency and administrative sustainability. Without their support, this improvement to SMCHA simply would not be possible. Please join me in extending our deepest gratitude.
